After years of hard work on the part of World Lacrosse, the International Olympic Committee announced in October last year that lacrosse will return to the Olympic Games in 2028 in Los Angeles. At that time, both men and women will compete in the sixes format.
Sixes is a fast-paced version of the sport that capitalizes on the skills learned in both field and box lacrosse. Games are played on more compact spaces with quicker action and higher scoring.
More than ever, the lacrosse sixes format offers skills that can diversify a player’s potential and offer future opportunity for development. We’re excited to be at the forefront of growing the sport here on the west coast.
